Here’s a heaping dose of irony for your Tuesday: Kris Humphries is pushing for cameras to be allowed into the courtroom for his and Kim Kardashian‘s divorce trial, a move that his estranged wife is violently opposed to.

It surprises no one that Kim wants to keep the media out of the courtroom, as the divorce proceedings will reveal that their marriage was built more on contractual terms and royalty rights than on genuine love. But Kris’ people are trying to back her into a corner by remarking how Kim herself has claimed that she’s used to cameras capturing every moment in her life. A source from Kris’ camp told RadarOnline,

“Kris thinks it’s somewhat ironic that Kim doesn’t want cameras in the courtroom for the proceedings. What is Kim so afraid of? For someone that has filmed and documented her life for her reality shows you wouldn’t think she is going to fight so hard to not have cameras there.

Kris just wants the truth to come out about what happened during their marriage, period. Kris’ attorney will argue that cameras should be in the courtroom because Kim has chosen to live her life in the public eye, and the divorce trial shouldn’t be off limits.”

Last November, shortly after her divorce was announced, Kim posted a message on her blog for her fans. In it, she tried to defend the fact that cameras are second nature for her strange clan:

But it’s who I am! We filmed Kourtney giving birth, Khloe getting married, break ups, make ups, our best moments and our worst moments. These were all real moments. That’s what makes us who we are. We share, we give, we love and we are open!
