It’s not just Kim Kardashian and her family that are desperate for her marriage to Kris Humphries to be over, as according to new reports in the US the family of the NBA star is urging him to settle the divorce because of the “negative attention” surrounding the couple.
Kris has filed for an annulment, accusing his wife of 72 days of only marrying him for TV ratings, and is reportedly not going to give up the fight until she admits she “fraudulently” entered the marriage.
But the 27 year-old star’s family are reportedly urging him to give up the fight, which has now been going for 16 months as it has started to take over their lives.
“Kris’ family finds the entire matter really annoying because they’re tired of the negative attention and don’t want to be tied to Kim at all anymore,” an insider told RadarOnline.
“They just want it to be over.”
The insider explained: “It’s gone on too long and it’s upsetting for the family to know that Kris is out for revenge.
“The family doesn’t want to be connected to Kim or any of the Kardashians anymore, and they’re worried that Kris will get burned in the end.”

The source points to Kaela, Kris’ little sister and model with Ford Models, as one point of contention as she feels her career is being damaged by Kris’ ongoing battle with one of the industries most influential families.
“It’s not completely damaging her career, but she does get turned down more than usual because a lot of the agencies are pro-Kim,” the insider went on.
“And Kaela has no animosity towards Kim. She loves her brother, but she thinks he’s wrong.”
With neither side settling it seems Kim and Kris will be heading to court to settle the spat. It was recently claimed Kris initially turned down a $10 million deal to walk away from the marriage when they initially split in October 2011. <!– End Vibrant intelliTXT –>
