Is a Kimye engagement on the way? HollywoodLife.com spoke EXCLUSIVELY with an eyewitness who tells us that Kim visited Cartier in Beverly Hills on Jan. 31, and she was shopping for what appeared to be engagement bands! Read on for all the inside scoop.
Kim Kardashian may still be legally married to Kris Humphries, but with that union almost finally severed, and a baby on the way with boyfriend Kanye West, it’s time she starts looking towards the future. It appears the reality star was doing just that on Jan. 31 as she visited the Cartier store in Beverly Hills — an eyewitness tells us she was shopping for engagement bands!
HollywoodLife.com spoke exclusively with an eyewitness who tells us that Kim, 32, viewed a few bands on the main floor of the store before Cartier’s security took her upstairs via an elevator to the VIP section where they house more of their luxurious and exclusive diamond collection.
Kim Kardashian’s Engagement Ring Shopping — Her Band Selection
An employee at the store told us, “Kim has great taste and loves many of our pieces, such as this one, our Cartier d’Amour solitaire paved with diamonds. It’s a really exquisite engagement band, and of the finest diamonds you could buy.”
“I showed her a few other ones from a set of different collections,” the employee adds. “She was more interested in this one (the Cartier d’Amour solitaire paved with diamonds) and making some adjustments to it. Kim wants her piece to be custom, something out of the ordinary, and we’re certainly happy to accommodate her.”
Cartier’s website describes the ring as: “A wedding band like a pledge of eternal love, symbolized by the circle. A modern gleam of platinum or pink gold, which accompanies the Cartier d’Amour solitaire. Ring in platinum set with brilliant-cut diamonds, central brilliant-cut diamond available from 1.00 to 1.10 ct.”
Kim, who was dressed in what appeared to be all-black workout clothes, clutched her purse to her stomach, covering her pregnant tummy from the swam of paparazzi waiting outside.
Kim To Be Divorced From Kris Humphries By End Of February
As Hollywoodlife.com previously reported, a source revealed to us that Kim’s divorce from Kris is expected to be finalized by the end of February. “Kim and Kris haven’t spoken verbally in a year and Kris can’t stand for her name to be mentioned. He is pushing his lawyers to wrap up the divorce, it’ll be finalized by the end of February or before,” a source close to the basketball player told us.
